When I first fell in love with the banana tree on Tortolla Street near my house, I decided to research the species and learn more about them. I was enamored with a photo of a banana florescence in the Himalayas. I love the sensuous nature of the bud and the long smooth edges of the palm fronds. I added the torn Asian paper for texture and interest, and a painted-on frame in bronze.
