As a child growing up in Saudi Arabia, my sister and I took riding lessons on a beautiful white Arabian stallion. I was so enchanted by his powerful neck and beautiful head that I wanted to try to recreate that in a painting.
Jidran’s harness is made of gold chords I attached using medium. The poem on the lower left describes perfectly his magnificence. The jewel on his harness is from Jerusalem.
