Road to Al Khobar This painting was inspired by my trips as a child to the souks (market place) in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia. My memories are of mysterious doorways, exotic Arab coffee pots for sale, and beautiful gold jewelry--not to mention numerous sightings of camels trudging across the desert and the outline of the mosques against the blazing sun.
